Bushcare Fern Tree
The Fern Tree Bushcare group meets on the second Sunday of each month from 10am to 12.30pm. All are welcome and there's no pressure to come every month. Wear long trousers, long sleeves and sturdy shoes. We meet in different places so check the City of Hobart Bushcare web page for details or send an email to bushcare@ferntree.tas.au" to find out where we're meeting.
Unless we have COVID in Tasmania, you don’t have to book or register beforehand. Its a good idea to let us know you're coming in case the event is cancelled by weather.
We are friendly and sociable, and we visit interesting places and tackle all sorts of different weeds. At the end of every activity we share a sociable cuppa and homemade treats, so BYO mug.
Note; a Native Plant Giveaway will be held at Westringa Park on Sunday 10 October from 12.30 to 1.30pm. One plant per person depending how stocks last.

Fern Tree Bushcare Weed Booklet
Fern Tree Bushcare Group have published a new edition of the Fern Tree Weed Booklet which you can download here, or if you would like a hard copy email bushcare@ferntree.tas.au and we will deliver one. There are 10 additional weeds added to the booklet, making 30 in all that we really don't want to see getting a hold in Fern Tree or on kunanyi/Mt Wellington.
